when beagle are pups, their color is black full. as they grow, their color will change, but i am not sure how big is the change. henry color will change also but not sure what color. maybe brown.
thanks for your advice. i will control henry's daily meals. you mean that beagle do not change much in color and will have most black but a little mixture of other color like brown? i hope henry have lots of brown and least black. would bring him out for walk outside.

A beagle will be born mostly black and white with some hints of brown... same like a basset at first but as they grow, the colour usually bacome lighter.... that's why it's adviced to get beagle pups at 2 months old so you can get the idea of how much brown it's going to have... it is standard to have a black back..... They can only come in 2 standard colours.... the normal black, brown and white and the other is lemon and white.....
Bassets are different... they have shorter legs, a longer body, they can come in any colour with white and they have long droopy ears..... the skin around the eys sometimes sag a little and that is standard lah... they also drool a lot of saliva.....

They look the same because that is the standard hound colour.... many other hound dogs have the same colour, only for a beagle it is their only standard colour....... normally the colour will change slowly wan.... when the pup grows every month, got changes but we rarely see it dramatically change coz we see the dog everyday.....
Basset and Beagle don't look the same lah, basset has more loose skin and shorter legs.....
Stan's Henry will only loose a bit of his blackness.... What I mean by colour change is the body will become lighter in colour a bit, no other colours will come out..... the black fur around the dog's brown areas will become browner..... henry will probably have a smaller black saddle when he reaches the age of 2 years.....

i thought from puppy until adult hood still stay the same instead of changing colour. I went 2 the pet shop 2 day and see no changes of the beagle's colour.
The change is very slow..... they will stop changing the amount of black on their body by the age of 1 1/2 years to 2 years....... sigh, they don't change any other colour, just the blackness becomes less only but the difference is not big.... why are you so interested to know about it? You planning to get a beagle or basset? A basset can have more amounts of black, sometimes the head is also black while beagle cannot have a black head.......
