playing 'bite bite' is one of their way to communicate especially among puppies.of course they might play rough sometime.just keep an eye when they are play'g.

there is hierarchy in their 'dogdom',so dont feed the new puppy because he looks pity or more adorable, but to feed ur first chihuahua.by then, the new one will learn to respect the 1st chihuahua.beside ur 1st chihuahua would not feel sad and depress too.

Re: [cm] CHIHUAHUA-PP LOOKING FOR FREN [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,
I understand it is their way of communication...but sometimes do afraid they play rough coz my pp like to bite tt's ear..afraid pp might hurt tt luckily none so far. I always have such thinking that if I don't stop them from biting each other, they might in one day become enermy or will fight when they grow up.. will it?

Yeap...I give food to pp first then tt. While they are eating, tt will stop half way and stare at pp eating and seems like pp's food is more delicious than her own..I noticed ever since I have tt, pp's appetite improved as compared to previous, even if he doesn't want to finish the kibbles, once seeing tt coming towards his bowl, he will quickly finish it...am I in a way encourage them to fight for food?

Ever since having both of them, I found out that it is not easy to take care of more than 1 dog and don't mention of training them. I'm trying my best to fit myself in this new situation and learn as fast as possible the way to train them...any advise?

btw, thanks for your adviseFrown

hi....hi...

my mimpin seen a bit jealous lahUnsure. but we do in nice way to him. where we give both eat 2gether but we will allow Rhyno-minpin to eat first. Romeo be naughty oso, he will try to eat Rhyno's food. And while we reach home, we will sayang Rhyno first then follow wit Romeo.

Even both of them oso play to each other, they bite oso but i will keep on eye coz my minpin sometime play rough. sometime quite scare, coz Romeo too small, we scare we step on him while he behind us.

so yesterday, bf & i went to pet shop bought more bell for him. i like his way to run, very cute lah like rabbit jump lah. N he will follow our leg up and down, so cute lah.

ya loh....I also do the same with you...hehehe...she is like you said like rabbit jump loh...very daring, running with pp in and out of cage...pp always flat tt one, terbalik her loh...ans she seems like enjoy it leh..Blush

pp has no obvious sign of jeolousy but when tt come and sit in front of me, he will quickly come and sit in front of me too...try to squeeze in like that...I think somehow rather he is nervous that we only love tt not him kuah....

Re: [yst323] CHIHUAHUA-PP LOOKING FOR FREN [In reply to] Can't Post

don't say advise,just sharing bcoz i'm not a chihuahua expert.hahaha...Sly

my 2nd chihuahua(female-named LV) always like to play 'bite bite' with my 3rd chihuahua(male- named Oscar) also.LV like to provoke others and kacau them.what i normally do is just separate them and let LV know that there is no more game if bite bite involved.then put them 2gether again..if they continue, then separate them again until my LV dont bite anymore.will they become enermy one day?i think chihuahua like their own kind very much.sometime maybe they just want to attract ur attention, especially when u own another chihuahuas or other breeds.give the same attention, love and care to the 1st one so he still feel that he's special to u.(of course, he's still special)Wink

i agree with u that it's not easy to take care of more than 1 dog.like myself, i have few dogs in my house like mixed breeds, chihuahuas and min pins.all my dogs are not trained.they just understand simple commands like SIT, STAY, and etc.so, sory that i cant share with u anything bout training.just try ur best to be a DOGS onwer and lover.all they need is just to spend more time with u.Smile

he say the 'chihuahua' is without cert and he's selling it for nearly 1K.

what????1K?i really cant believe it.and this is not the 1st time i encounter with this type of pet shop owner.i dunno how could the pet shop owner be so unethical?

Re: [cm] CHIHUAHUA-PP LOOKING FOR FREN [In reply to] Can't Post

I sometimes do that as well but it seems like not working...when I start ignoring them, they will slowly stop biting for awhile only...and later start again...CrazyMad Luckily pp never bite hard, tt seldom scream from pain...i guess shld be not pain kuah....

pp(the 1st one) always like to take away tt(2nd one) thing/food...no matter how I tried to stop him...tt just let him take away and start looking for new one...

tt's progress on training is a bit slow coz whenever I wanted to train her, pp will always come and kacau us...thought of putting him inside cage then only train tt but scared pp will feel envy....now she is able to pee/poo on paper most of the time but "accident" still occurred....tt will wake me up middle of the night to poo or even pee sometimes...seems like she is dislike pooing/peeing in cage... some ppl said ignore her when she makes noise in the middle of the night so to train her not to poo at mid night but haven't tried that yet...shld I ignore her and let her know that not to poo at night?? She is only 10 weeks plus...a bit cruel to ask her to tahan until morning right....

i think training wont take up lots of time(i mean in a day).so it shldnt be a problem to put pang pang into the cage and train tungtung.i dun think pp will feel envy kuah....

my 1st chihuahua(Louise)sleeps on my bed every nite.he'll wake me up middle of the night when he wan to go pee pee or poo poo.so i just bring him to toilet to do his business.

bout 'ignore her when she makes noise in the middle of the night so to train her not to poo at mid night'
i also dunno knowUnsure
to me, not cruel but it's a bit pity coz tt only 2 months old....

ai....no choice lorUnsure..who ask us to be obsessed with them-"a graceful alert, swift-moving little dog with saucy expression...-CHIHUAHUA

wah...u already have so many dogs liao yet planning to get another one huh... taking care of 2 furkids are occupying me most of my leisure time if getting another one...i might need to be full time dog care taker liao....Tongue

Re: [ginger_pie] CHIHUAHUA-PP LOOKING FOR FREN [In reply to] Can't Post

hi...

how many meals you are feeding Romeo now? Chihuahua tends to have hypoglocemia, low blood sugar. Due to their size, their metabolism is very high and tends to use up energy very fast then bigger size dog. If you see him inactive and like no energy, feed him food fast and if he is not able to eat by his own, feed him glucose water. My pp kena that before but luckily my breeder has told me way before I brought him back. Just feed him food and after he has taken the food, he will resume normal.

I still remember I started pp with 2 meals when he was only 10 weeks old and left some food. Later without food but with glucose water... and when he got older, only 2 meals and without glucose...
