Dear All

Surind is sooo happy to see so many doggies for the last round that he can’t wait to go again ! so here it is…. ROUND 4 !!!

This walk will be a slightly longer walk for us folks but easier trail. So to those who wish to bring along parents or kids please do so…. Not so much of climbing the hills or going through the stream but more on walk and stamina and enjoying the mozzy (just joking la)

Anyone game for a drink after the walk ? we can actually park our dogs at the 'lamp post' place near ravi's coz I see a lot of ppl does that last week....

Date : March 13, 2004 (Saturday)

Meeting Venue : Taman Pendidikan Bukit Gasing

Time : 7:30 AM (sharp)
we hope to be able to go into the jungle by 7.45 AM

Join us in the list below :

Direction 1 :

From Padang Merbok’s roundabout use the way towards Telekom. After driving passed Telekom on your left you will see a row of shoplot and signboard of a restaurant called “Lotus”. Just before Lotus Restaurant, on your right, you will see a Chinese Temple and there is a junction. Turn right. After turning do go all the way straight for about 200 – 300 meter and there should be a playground of some sort and you can park your cars there. There should be a signboard that says : Tmn Pendidikan Bukit Gasing.

Direction 2 :

Beside the Lasalle School, there is the Raju Restaurant – go straight all the way up and you will reach a T junction. At the T junction do turn to your right and go all the way straight you should be able to see the playground.

Things to take note of :

1. Dogs have to be on leash/harness on all times.
2. Please pick up after our furkids poo.
3. Bring plastic bags
4. Bring water for human n for furkids
5. Wear stockings
6. Have a good pair of walking shoe or sneakers.
7. One dog per person is highly recommended as it’s a real jungle trail.
8. Don’t wear too short a shorts if you are afraid of being scratch by the bushes and donating blood to the mozzy ya ! ;)

Hi June,

I'm having it on a saturday coz I'm working on sundays and saturday is the only day which I'm free. Why not you organise one on a sunday instead ? so those who can't make it on saturdays can join the sunday ones... but on sunday dun forget that there are those who goes for morning church, prefer to sleep late and have to go sunday morning market with family. so i guess we just cant satisfied everyone LOL....

Actually its good to have sunday jungle walk too... so u wanna organise one ?

Count me in if someone in USJ would allow me to follow his/her car for a few times until I get it... I mean I am driving and following the back of his car until I get it... Gosh longer one but hey I have to get my stamina so maybe a really good start to get off my fat hehehehe.... Hi..

Hope I din sound rude up there. i would love to join you guys for the walk. I din know that you work on sunday. I thought normally ppl would do their exercise on sunday. Me organising one? I don't think I'm able to organise one.....lousy at organising. Like you mentioned, most ppl are tight up with their sunday events too especially on waking up late. I myself also wake up late on sundays. Anyway, I hope to join you guys in the next round. I actually got one saturday off a month but i just took my saturday off last week. Got to wait till April then......till then...cheers..... Cool

Hi minglmy,

Wah..so fast another round. We can't join in this round cause I have to work this Sat. Is the entrance to the forest across the road nearby the playground? Last Sat we went there and saw a small path with a signboard stating 'Tmn Pendidikan Bukit Gasing'. Some contruction workers were doing some jobs at the entrance. Has anyone been there in the evening say 4.30 pm onwards? If not many people go there in the evening, I don't think it is safe for us to go alone.

hahahaha... well, everyone enjoyed the exercise with doggies mar so no harm having another round when there is demand Smile

Yes the jungle walk is the one that you saw that day. As for going at 4.30 pm i'm not sure ler.... but I feel its better to go in a group of at least more than 5 ppl (safer that way mar) if in the evening then if lost ler ? how wor ?

Hi,

I m the first time here & still trying to figure out how things work.Well,i would love to bring my 6mths old very the playful newfie for the walk but i afraid i can't control him coz he will GET SUPER EXCITING when he sees other dogs,he can't stop mouthing on others & make others irritated & get mad sometimes(jumping & lion dancing)....I know he is just being friendly & playful but i worry he wil spoilt other doggie's mood(my older dogs found him annoying!!).

HI !

Dont think that will be a problem... guess ur pup is very extremely hyper n playful huh ! You can always choose to walk in front or behind everyone so that ur pup does not 'irritate' any other dogs. But seriously as we are all trekking dun think ur dog will have much chance to bother lor... coz too bz trying to keep up with the ones in front mar

1 is rottweiler another is boxer. What i need to do if i want to join?

But i just know how to go to padang merbok only. Coz last time my dog and i got training there.

Welcome ya !
You can bring 2 dogs if you can manage to take care of them. Do remember that this is a jungle walk so at some place the trail is not wide and we are going into the jungle. Actually its was more adviseable to have one person to handle one dog which would be ideal ! Ask your bf or your parents, friends to join in too la ok.

Its actually very near the Padang Merbok... do you know where is Lotus restaurant ? or Telekom which is opposite from the Padang Merbok ?

Hello, I would like to join the trek this Saturday. However, I'm not 100% sure if I can make it. My brother wanted to join the trek. If we can make it, I'll be going with my dad and brother, together with furkids Abby and Chelsea.

I'm worried though. Abby had a fungal infection and her left thigh has a bald spot... do you guys think it's ok to bring her along? The vet gave us an ointment to put on her thigh, so I'm thinking of applying it to Abby before I take her out this Saturday. What say you guys?

Fiona, can we meet at SS19 Shell petrol station?
You will see this petrol station on your left, from USJ heading to Federal Highway. Opposite of SS19, there's a school, secondary school i think.

But if u're BLUR... drop the school thingy. Meet you at SS19 shell patrol station. 7:10am. K? :P

Hi ya !

We didn't pass the stream though... use another trek which is supposed to be a longer ones... but we manage to conquer it anyway.

the walk was good.... i think there was abt 15 dogs or more (lost count lar) lots of ppl attended though. There are those whose name is not in the name list but attended so also forgotten how many lor.

u like riding too? wow u very active! i wish to get some friends ride together too.. bcoz my husband not interested, i m so lonely do this myself.. although he will go with me but is more fun if a group of friends ride together.. but just be prepared : starting your legs and backside might sore and pain for few days ..hehehe..

Ok... I took Baby this time instead... The White and Brown Cocker of mine... She is slow... Cannot believe it slower than me.... Hehehehehe... With Rambo, he is pulling me... With Baby, I am pulling her.... Anyway, unfortunately nope.. My stamina not build and still dying from walking and acheing on my legs and stuff....
No "la"... I don't ride anymore but I do wish to go for lessons again.. I had proper lessons before when I was younger like about 19?... Just a few from Awana... I love horses when I was mush younger and went for joy ride started at the age of maybe 6? From my website you can see a few photos I took from my trail ride in the USA and also took photos of horses (park at the road side and snapping away that kind of stuff).. My older daughter have fate with hehehe esecially white horses... She just went near the horses and stuff... You can see her riding from my webiste.... But weird thing is she only loves horses from Awana and woudn't go near to the horses from Bukit Kiara... Don't know why... Expensive to go riding there too... Hi Jeniko & everyone!

It was nice meeting ya all, although I cant really remember all of your names.

I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Although it was termed 'easy walk', for me it was actually quite challenging! My Yen Yen could make it and with all the energy he had, he just kept going and going, and I was panting and panting.. Crazy

Anyway, he really enjoyed it. Cool

Couldnt believe it that he was still not tired when he reached home, cause he chased the squirrel, sat and wait under the tree for a very long time while I was slowly transforming into a couch potato.

Chelsea (the GR) was so cute! Poor thing was soo tired but he was like so determined to go even tho he’s tired. Maybe peer pressure? Hehe!

Would like to thank the two girls (ya.. you Jenniko Wink

& err.. din quite catch her name , but i remembered the colour of her shirt.. it's Red) that helped me while I was picking up Yen Yen 's poo poo. Help was very much appreciated! *phew*!

Would oso like to apologise for my noisy & nippy puppy. Sorry if he nipped any of your doggies. He hasnt really learned not to nip at other doggie, do forgive him being rude.

Also want to thank you sincerely for organising such walk. Is it possible to organise a Sunday group? Some people hav to work on Saturdays and would definitely miss the outing.

Anyway, I do look forward to the next tracking!

Finally found the time to visit the forum.

The trek was fun although a bit tiring. Luckily my Abby was there to pull me up on some part of the trek. She was very energetic even when we got home; played like gila with Jane ( our Shih Tzu ).

Chelsea, on the other hand, was dead tired. She passed out in the car even before we reach home. I was so afraid she was too exhausted during the trek, but the next day, she's bouncing around the house again. Can't wait for round 5! YAY!

Oh, my dad said he heard this one lady trekker. While we were passing her group, my dad heard her complaining to her companion, saying, "Ish, so many dogs. Stinko lah"

Unimpressed

Bet that lady never smell a smelly human before. My dogs are very 'fragrant' thank you. I bet the shampoo my furkids ( and lots of you guys' too ) use is more expensive than that lady's shampoo...

Apart from that incident, man, the trekking was fun! Hope to see you guys again ( this week )!

Sure sure...i will try to join you at the lake but cannot bring Yen Yen lor...aiya...but maybe I can pay you visit sometimes if I free...hehe...

Now, I'm trying very hard to persuade my bf to let me bring our daughter to the gathering...our daughter is a mixed breed...her name is Michi...but my bf never let her out of the house so persuading him to let me take her out is extremely hard...aiya...but I will try so that next round I can bring Michi if possible...she is cute but a bit fat...so I think she will need the exercise...but the only problem is I'm not sure she can behave well among other furkids or not...emmm....

Hahaha, you heard ah? Abby was so terribly excited and was going too fast for me. She's like, "Go go go!" and "MOVE IT, MOVE IT". Laugh

I tell you, if she's a drill sergeant, we'd all be dead liao.

I takut terjatuh because she's so fast. When I told her to wait for Chelsea, Abby became agitated. She even potong jalan if there's someone directly in front of her. Poor Chelsea kena bumped off the 'road' by Abby halfway because she's too slow.

Hohoho, Chelsea very 'cha' one. At home she's rather lazy; eat, sleep, eat, sleep, play, sleep. The thing that's she's good in is smelling treats from far away and dunking her head ( and body ) into buckets of water. Laugh

Luckily she never try to dunk her head in the toilet bowl. HOHOHO.

Ming Yang :: Ya loh. Our furkid's shampoo lagi mahal than that lady's one. Tell her to smell her own body after trekking lah, I bet $100 that my dog smells better than hers. HAH!

I remember now...You are the one with the black color doggie, is it? Sorry that I can't remember well...I hope you still remember me, the one with the terrier with the clothes on (not mine...but my friend's one the one holding the Yorkshire terrier in the bag)...

Honestly, I didn't notice any dog lovers that day that don't like doggie smell...I always assume that dog lovers love doggie smell even though they didn't take bath for a week or two...hehe...I personally like doggie smell...

So the one that always sit with legs laying flat is yours...what's the name? Aiya...sure I miss a lot of things back there...I was the first few in front of the gang...should have walk behind next time...

Aiya...you no need angry on that incident...just be sure that all of us like doggie smell because we are dog lovers...hehe...hope to see you next time...see ya

HEhe, ya cannot bring yen yen there. I smuggled him in at night, and he managed to see ducks for the first time.. oso very k-po, sniff sniff at sleeping ducks until the ducks fly into the dark water, and then he takut. *sigh* Do visit me sometime. Can bring Michi oso Smile

Ur bf too sayang her issit? Scared that other doggie will bully her ah? I oso worry my yen yen cannot behave, but I just bring him. At least he behaved during trekking. Haiya, bribe ur bf la, if not drag him along too, he can carry Michi (if she's not too big.. hehehe)

Glad to hear from you. Ya lor...cannot bring Yen Yen there but nevermind, now at least we have Bukit Gasing for Yen Yen to exercise...hehe...

Yes, my bf very sayang his lui lui...and he scared that his lui lui cannot behave well and maybe will get into fight with others' furkids...if so, then we all susah lor...somemore his lui lui is a mongrel that we don't know what her breed is...she never goes out of the house cause her papa doesn't allow...so, my bf is so worried if I take her out and she doesn't behave well...

See how la...I also wish I can train her but now a bit difficult because she is quite big now...aiya...so hard to bribe my bf...he's very strict with his lui lui rules....hehe...maybe next round I will persuade my bf to go with me but don't think he will allow his lui lui to go...

Hello Jennifer,

To tell you the truth, I can't really remember the owners but I remember the dogs though ( Laugh

*dont throw tomatoes at me!* ).

I was late because I was waiting for my brother. He's supposed to meet with my dad and I at the Nestle building ( behind PJ Hilton ) at 7am but he only arrived at 7.30am ( what lah... )

By the time we reached Bkt.Gasing, we went up to the wrong hill. I was panicking liao because there's not many cars there. I takut you guys left already mah. Laugh

To prevent further confusions, we should introduce ourselves to each other... or at least try to remember furkids' owner's name. Hahahah! Like this : Oh... Abby's human is Celine. Hahahah!

The one always lying down is Chelsea. Poor girl Laugh

I bet her legs will be shaking when she's at Bkt. Gasing this Sunday.

The one that complained bout the smell is not one of us. She's a trekker. Aiyo, if dog lovers don't like doggie smells, that person is not a doggie lover. Furkids smells the best, especially one or two days after bath.

Too bad we can't go to FRIM. There's a really nice waterfall trek for the furkids. Not too difficult too, though it's waaay higher than Bkt.Gasing.

Im looking for the perfect little pug, puppy.........at the perfect little price. Wink

Sorry, dont want to sound stingy, but, I just got my first real job and will only be receiving my first pay on the 15th of next month. It's limited, but I told myself a long time ago that with my first real full time job pay, I will reserve some cash for a pug.

Of course personality is of most importance to me and not the actual "show qualities" that one will look for in a competition standard dog.

Most important, I want a pug that will not be too independent and must be friendly and attached to the owners. Not a fightened cat too. Must be brave, but not too brave...

Guess, I need a balanced dog.

My budget is around 800. Certification, micro-chipping, etc, not important to me and prefer without..., but important, I must get the pug very young. 2 months is way too old. Prefer to get it, the minute it is able to eat solid soft foods.

I get all my dogs around that age and they get very attached to me.
