Yeah, i think a visit to pak lah office wud be good. Ain't curbing the number of pets we have as infringing our public rights?? As long as we made sure, our pets aren;t a nuisance, who are they to complain right? in the states, every family are expected to have at least a dog if not two. as having a pet teaches responsibility, family, loyalty and death to children. those who doesn't have pets/ dogs are those who are viewed as odd. Are these values are what we are trying to instil in our childre????

Hi,

May be someone can try to complaint to Datuk Ong during the K0-day event ?

Pah lah say something, the goverment department is doing something else.

When PM visted the immigration,all change to be efficience, once PM left and thins get cool down,,,,,all back to square oredi Mad

I had so much problem to renew my wife's VISA also, always change rules....no wonder Malaysian always being look down by foreigner. When I am at immigration,if I found out that they make mistake, I cannot compliant.but if mak salleh found out the mistake,they serve then like GOD !

I just got the license from DBKL today....just simply write one KL address,they never check my IC...actually wanted to buy two, but was told that terrace house cannot have two dogs,only Bungalo & Factory can have 2 dogs...."CHI.SHIN" one.Some more one LAIN LAIN column...if I tick LAIN LAIN & write CONDO...don't know if he will reject my application ?
Ask me to get approval from Kementerian kesihatan woh !! Pirate

,but the process was easy lah......no need to show anything...no need certificates....no need approval from your neighbour...just wondering why MPPJ,MPSJ & DBKL have different regulations... Mad

,,but I don't care lah, just try my luck to get a license..& I got it... Sly

hi everyone from subang jaya,

just wanna share my case with you guys. i think the mpsj new rule sounds silly to me, imagine if our neighbour work at night and we can only see them get back morning 2 am how am i going to ask them sign the form? anyway of course we still need to respect others.

for those having problems get the neighbour to sign the form.. just put there : KOSONG (LEFT), No. XX & KOSONG (RIGHT, No. xx

that is what I do, luckily my left and right is really still kosong la. Tongue

but from what they response, they don't really care and go and check it, the official told me : "JIKA NAK TUNGGU JIRAN MASUK LAMA KAN? U TULIS SANA KOSONG DAN NOMBOR RUMAH SAJA LAR"

next time when they come and check just say they just move in lor!? just if this can help.. otherwise is very leceh need to do the lisence for 2 days..

Did you have to show the vet's card to certify that the dog is fully vaccinated? Hmmm... I'm a bit blur as my Dad got the form for me and he was blur because he didn't ask any questions... Crazy

er the time i register was already 15/dog

but if u just go for renew then u no need your neighbour to argree

if u go for new register.. then u got to submit the form.. ie. your neighbour got to sign and argree

Hi, it's been a while since this topic. What's new now? Live in KL, corner terrace house, 3 dogs. All have licences and not a query. But currently doing major outdoor reno with Indonesian workers and thus have to tie dogs up during the day and they unfortunately poo poo in the driveway and before I can come back after work to clean up, and it does smell. My reno gone on for 3 weeks and should take another 3 weeks, thus temporary. That's what I told my neighbour but she is so mean. Intolerant neighbour complained to DBKL and we got summons. They complained that it is against the law to have 3 dogs. Is that true? What can I do?

Hmmmm...

Frankly, I have a neighbour who uses cow manure for his garden and it stinks up the entire neighbourhood but we've never complained about it.. Unsure

... BTW, cow manure is much more smellier than dog poo.. Smile

I'm not so sure about DBKL, but I think since you're at a corner terrace, I think you can keep 3 dogs...

Hmmmm... Best to check up with the DBKL to find out what the law says. Any other members to help our friend out??

I do sympathize with you, but given the situation I guess your neighbor doesn't understand what's actually going on. Why don't you speak to them (nicely) and explain your problems but also ask for understanding on their side. Give them your commitment to do the best you can to make things right. BTW you can keep more then 3 dog mah!!! the rule has not been approved what!? these people trying to bully us lah.

I checked the amendment to the by- laws for KL and the max number of dogs allowed is 2. Hope this helps and you may want to check with DBKL on this. Based on my online research, the amended by-laws may not be the latest as you know lah in Malaysia, most online information are not updated on a regular basis.

Ask DBKL for a copy of their latest by-laws for you to have a look.

Not sure if the laws made by MPSJ, etc concerning the number of dogs is legal. Anyways, as you all know the Federal Constitution is the highest law of the land so check out a few Articles in it. Might be interpreted in our favour. Wink

ARTICLE 5(1) - No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty save in accordance with law.

ARTICLE 8(1) - All persons are equal before the law and entitled to equal protection of the law.

ARTICLE 8(2) - Except as expressly authorised by this Constitution, there shall be no discrimination against citizens on the ground only of religion, race, desent, place of birth or gender in any law or in the appointment to any office or employment under a public authority or in the administration of any law relating to the acquisition, holding or disposition of property or the establishing or carrying on of any trade, business, profession, vocation or employment.

Well... If any laws that were made contradict the Constituion, judicial review (can take the matter to court to have its validity questioned) can take place and there's always a chance the courts will say the law goes against the Consitution and is therefore NULL and VOID! Smile

Well there is hope. Now it's just up to us to take a stand and be aware of our rights.

I personally think...THE AUTHORITIES!!! have way too much time on thier hands to think up of such stupid rules...I wonder how it came up..one morning the office comes into his office and says..let me see..I think today we can set a rule people who have dogs need to get permission from their neighbours or else we will "Kasi Saman"

Then he "Grins" I just..came up with another money making scheme..*laughs to himself goes out for his breakfast"

One would think they are other more pressing issues to handle than to come up with this" OUTRageously DUMB Idea!"

I also have 4 dogs which moved down from Penang together with me and my hubsband. We are staying at Kota Kemuning Shah Alam. The petshop that you mention, do you mind if I know the contact and add? We have been triying to get license for our dogs but never success. Our neighbours also complained.

in my knowledge as I have called MPSJ and asked about it and they have informed me that we can only keep maximum 2 dogs within 1000m area of the house.if you like to get more information you can call them directly at 03-80263171.Its better to ask the the people there and get their names or go there directly for more info.
