Re: [myHIRO] obedience class training or train at home?

Well actually, it's entirely up to you. If you know what & how to teach your dog without going to school, to me, that's good enough! Training at home & training at OB school is just the same except that if you have your training at schools, you will get to learn the correct methods to train your dog & your dog will also get to socialize with other dogs & humans. Socializing is very important. No point having a very obedient & well trained dog when its behavior is so teruk.

For me, I have been training my Golden since 3 mths of age & now she's just turned two & already in Intermediate level. From my experience, training at school is a lot more fun than training at home becoz 1st of all, you & your dog get to meet other new people & dogs there & you will always be motivated to train your dog.

For me last time, when my Amber was in puppy class, I always felt competitive & always liked my dog to be the best in the class. Training at school really kept me motivated everyday & it always made me want to train my Amber. To me, that's the only thing about training at OB schools lah like Puppy.com, MKA or PetnYou. I train my dogs at Puppy.com.
